A PLACE WORTH KNOWING
Country lanes out, Atlantic views on the way back
A circular walk connecting Abbotsham’s lanes with the open coast, starting at Kipling Tors in Westward Ho!.
This walk gives you two sides of the area in one outing: village lanes around Abbotsham, then the sea-facing path back towards Westward Ho!. The official circular passes through the village before reaching the coast near Greencliff. From there the changing light, broad water and rocky shoreline provide the reward for walking out. Part of the return follows the line of the old coastal railway. It is a good choice for an afternoon with time to stop and look, rather than a quick stroll squeezed between appointments. Download the route before setting off and begin at its published Westward Ho! start.
