A business park is an unlikely setting for a beautiful pastry stop, which is part of the appeal here. Heartbreak’s Chivenor bakery opens its doors to visitors as well as producing the bread and bakes behind the brand. Inside, a high industrial roof, warm peach arches and racks of fresh loaves make the working space feel generous and inviting. There is coffee to go with the baking, so you can make a proper little outing of collecting breakfast. It is a separate location from the Braunton café: use the business park address, and check the bakery’s own Instagram before setting off.
