A PLACE WORTH KNOWING
Books, coffee and a reason to linger
An independent bookshop on Gold Street with coffee, local gifts and a calendar of author conversations and bookish gatherings.
Liznojan makes a good anchor for a slow wander around Tiverton’s independent quarter. Mother-and-daughter team Jackie and Kayleigh opened the bookshop in 2017, bringing books, coffee and conversation together on Gold Street. Browse for something you did not arrive knowing you wanted, then leave room in your plan for a drink. The shop also hosts author events and book clubs, so an ordinary browse can become a proper evening out with a little advance planning. Local makers’ gifts add another reason to look around. Check the current events programme rather than assuming a particular gathering is running every week.
