Traditional blacksmithing and hand-forged pieces for home and garden at Cockington Court.
The forge gives a Cockington day a different kind of spectacle. Rex Latham and his daughter Katie make hand-forged metalwork, and the public-facing workshop offers a chance to see blacksmithing as a living craft. The shop brings the process into everyday life through decorative and practical pieces for the house and garden. Alongside their own work are selected complementary metal products, so ask about the maker of a piece that catches your eye. Rex also undertakes bespoke work, restoration and conservation. Come to browse, pause to see what is happening at the forge, and telephone first if watching the smiths work is the centrepiece of your visit.
