A PLACE WORTH KNOWING

A day of makers, gardens and little discoveries

A manor house and creative studios surrounded by parkland, with a café and handmade finds to build a gentle day around.

Cockington Court is a lovely place to give yourself time to wander. Begin at the manor house, then follow your curiosity into the craft centre, where independent makers work across glass, metal, wood, ceramics and more. The studios have individual opening patterns, so check with a particular maker if seeing them is the reason for your trip. Between visits, there is room to stretch the day into the surrounding country park: garden spaces, woodland and three ornamental lakes offer different routes to explore. Pause at Seven Dials Café, browse the Craft Shop, or walk back towards the village for another stop. The separate features below help you choose your own combination.

The lovely little details

  • Free admission to Cockington Court.
  • Working studios, a craft shop and Seven Dials Café.
  • Surrounded by 450 acres of country park.
