A PLACE WORTH KNOWING
Choose a paddle that fits your day.
Guided estuary and coastal kayaking from Port Waterhouse in East Portlemouth, across the water from Salcombe.
Seeing Salcombe from a kayak changes the shape of a day out: the waterfront becomes the backdrop and the journey itself becomes the plan. Salcombe Watersports operates from Port Waterhouse on the East Portlemouth side of the estuary. Its Estuary Explorer is the gentler introduction, with a two-hour slot and around ninety minutes on the water. The longer Harbour Hero heads towards the harbour mouth and suits paddlers looking for a more energetic outing. Guides choose the route for the day, and equipment is included, so the useful decisions are which trip fits your group and how to reach the meeting point. The passenger ferry followed by a walk can be part of the experience; driving means approaching from the East Portlemouth side. Reserve ahead and wait for confirmation before setting off.
